Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – MLK Day 2021

With the observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day earlier this week, many have been reflecting on the life and actions of this great man who impacted incredible social change through nonviolent activism and peaceful protests. The life and words of Dr. King are symbolic of unity, equality, and an inclusive culture of acceptance for all.

As a Great Place to Work®, Sinceri Senior Living is also focused on promoting equality through increased diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in all of our communities.

Diversity

Out of a total employee count of over 2600 Team Members in the JEA Community, over 85% are Female and over 42% are Minorities. With a diverse employee group, our teams have strived to create community care teams that are also equitable and inclusive to all of our team members.

Diversity is intentional with our hiring process. In order to remove individual bias from hiring and promote diverse hires, our application process does not include disclosure of race/ethnicity. This has helped our team members make smart hiring decisions based on the most qualified candidates, regardless of race/ethnicity and gender.

Equity + Inclusion

In order to better understand all of our Team Members at Sinceri Senior Living, we provide all employees with opportunities to share their feedback with us. Through in-person dialogue with supervisors and community leadership, online resources like our Feedback E-Mail Group, and great accessibility to our Home Office HR Team we ensure that all JEA Team Members have access to make their voice heard.

In addition to these resources, Sinceri Senior Living has also become certified as a Great Place to Work® (GPTW) in order to continually improve our workplace experience. Through GPTW quarterly employee surveys, our teams are able to leverage employee feedback to enhance the experience for our employees, providing an equitable and inclusive workplace for all.

As we move into 2021, our entire team is looking forward to opportunities to continue growing the JEA Community, with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in mind.
