Sinceri Senior Living Communities Celebrate National Assisted Living Week
September 8-14 was National Assisted Living Week. It was created in order to provide an opportunity to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors and individuals with disabilities. This year’s theme was “A Spark of Creativity.” To celebrate both the week and this year’s theme, communities throughout the Sinceri Senior Living network hosted numerous activities and events to spark the creativity of its residents and staff.
The staff at Hickory Hills in Hendersonville, Tennessee dressed up as superheroes to express their desire to be everyday heroes to their residents.
Sugar Creek in Normal, Illinois chose to express their creativity with some creative apple decorating. Caramel, nuts and candy corn served to turn everyday apples into culinary masterpieces!
Magnolia Place in Rogers, Arkansas chose to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association in a most creative way – for a donation, participants could kiss this adorable pig, dressed in festive celebratory garb.
Cedar Ridge in Cedar Park, Texas chose to take a cruise around the world. One of their stops was Mexico, where residents celebrated by eating Mexican fare and drinking margaritas.
Juniper Glen in East Amherst, New York chose a “back to school” theme to created chalkboards that allowed people to learn about residents at a glance. Discovering information about our residents allows us to create activities tailored specifically to them and is at the very heart of our Meaningful Moments program.
At Sinceri Senior Living, our residents are at the very heart and soul of our communities and we are pleased to be able to honor them during special events and throughout the year.
