Growth Focus + A Heart for Service: Stacy Deckard, Administrator, Amber Glen Alzheimer’s

On this Administrative Professionals Week, our team at Sinceri Senior Living has so much to be thankful for. With so many incredible individuals serving in our Business Offices across the country, we truly appreciate their dedication to organization, professionalism, and courteous service.

In addition to this, we are also thankful for the well-deserved promotion of one of our stellar Business Office Managers, Stacy Deckard, to an Administrator position at Amber Glen Alzheimer’s Special Care Center, in Urbana, IL. This is why we are excited to announce that Stacy Deckard is our Rising Star for Q2 2021.

Stacy started with JEA during the Summer of 2008 working as a Caregiver at Sugar Creek Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Normal, IL. After 3 years in this role, Stacy was ready for her next challenge. When the Business Office Manager role opened up in 2011, Stacy jumped at the chance and quickly submitted her application. It was a perfect match! With Stacy’s attention to detail, organizational skills, and friendly demeanor, Stacy became the BOM for Sugar Creek.

In 2014, with 3 years of expertise and Business Office excellence at Sugar Creek, Stacy was made a Business Office Mentor. This role and distinction allowed Stacy the opportunity to travel to other JEA Communities providing new BOM training, mentorship, and hands-on assistance.

When Stacy’s Administrator at Sugar Creek took time off for the birth of her children, Stacy stepped up and filled in during her family leave. With a strong background in Business Office Administration and a passion for serving others, Stacy knew that she wanted to pursue becoming an Administrator.

Stacy started the process to earn her Bachelors’s Degree in Healthcare Administration and was accepted into the program. To date, she has completed all curriculum and coursework, with an expected graduation date of May 2021.

“Stacy has proven her dedication to the residents, families, JEA, and our teams for the past 13 years.  With this dedication, her passion, drive, and desire to make a difference, she will undoubtedly be a success in this new role.”

Felieta Boaz, Regional Director of Operations | Sinceri Senior Living

We recently reached out to Stacy to congratulate her on the recent promotion and the completion of her Healthcare Administration Degree. It was the perfect opportunity to catch up with her and to ask the question: What is your favorite thing about working for JEA?

“The residents and the fact that the home office has always believed in me and given me opportunities [for growth].”

Stacy also wanted to note how impactful the last 13 years have been working alongside her close friends and colleagues at Sugar Creek Alzheimer’s Special Care Center:

“My work relationship with Crystal [Sugar Creek Admin] has always been something I will cherish. She inspired me every day.  I will always hold a special place in my heart for her and the Sugar Creek team. They have always believed in me, even in times I didn’t believe in myself.”
