Chris Belford | Chief Executive Officer
Chris Belford, a seasoned veteran, started in the Senior Living Industry in 1991.
Over the years, Chris has driven operational excellence in various senior management roles. During his time at American Healthcare REIT, Chris successfully grew the company’s assets under management (AUM) to over $4.3 billion. Previous roles also include President – West Division, Brookdale Senior Living; and Senior Vice President, Emeritus Senior Living.
Joining the Sinceri Family as Chief Executive Officer in November 2020, Chris leads day-to-day operations, while delivering on the organization’s long-term vision and strategies. In addition to Chris’ role with Sinceri Senior Living, he actively serves seniors and advocates for older adults through his service on various senior housing company boards and associations.

Jamie Killpack, CPA, CFE | Chief Accounting Officer
Jamie Killpack’s expertise in finance and accounting dates to 2005, while he was working as an Audit Senior Associate with KPMG in Portland, Oregon.
Since that time, Jamie has held roles as a Controller, Director of Accounting, and now, as Chief Accounting Officer for Sinceri Senior Living. As an experienced accounting leader with both CPA and CFE designations, Jamie offers demonstrated success in managing internal accounting processes, internal/external financial reporting, improving controls and strengthening systems for optimal performance. Additionally, Jamie is proficient in all aspects of accounting and is skilled at building and leading solid teams to handle high-volume operations with consistency, accuracy, and full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Jamie’s role as Chief Accounting Officer for Sinceri Senior Living includes responsibility for all accounting and finance activities. As a hands-on leader, Jamie takes the time to understand the day-to-day, working in close collaboration with his team, while also driving big picture growth for Sinceri.
Senior Leadership

Dr. Angie Fleenor, DNP, APRN, MSN, FNP-BC | Vice President of Clinical Operations
Angie Fleenor has been working in healthcare and senior living since 1998, with management experience dating back to 2006.
Over this time, Angie has served in Executive Leadership roles in healthcare and long-term care settings including, senior living, skilled nursing, home health, hospice, and PCR laboratories. As a skilled clinical leader and board-certified Nurse Practitioner specialized in geriatrics, Angie brings a unique perspective to Sinceri Senior Living Communities from both a provider and operator standpoint.
As Vice President of Clinical Operations, Angie is committed to ensuring exceptional clinical services at all Sinceri Senior Living Communities through clinical oversight, ongoing staff training and development opportunities, and a close integration with both Programming and Dining Services departments to ensure each resident’s holistic wellbeing needs are met.

April Young | Executive Vice President of Operations & Sales
April Young started in the senior housing industry in 1998, with operations + portfolio management expertise dating back to 2003.
Prior to joining the Sinceri Family, April held roles in senior living including, Community Management, Regional Oversight, and Divisional Sales & Marketing support for a portfolio of 80 assisted living and memory care communities. Over all this time, April has held the same mantra and heart of service for the seniors and families she interacts with, “finding the right solutions for each family, while creating safe environments.”
April’s role with Sinceri Senior Living is focused on welcoming new residents and families to the Sinceri Family through the development and ongoing training of company-wide sales processes, occupancy development, and strategic planning for new business opportunities on the horizon.

Ben Exstrom | Vice President of Information Technology
Ben Exstrom’s wealth of knowledge and IT experience dates to 1998, when he started working as a Helpdesk Technician for a newspaper in McMinnville, OR.
Ben quickly advanced to a System Administrator role with Oregon State University, where he successfully designed and secured the organization’s information systems. Obtaining his Master’s in International Business Management, Ben went on to develop a lean/agile IT department with Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc. in 2015.
Ben’s role with Sinceri Senior Living leverages his international IT infrastructure and lean operations experience to ensure that all users at Sinceri have the platforms and systems necessary to efficiently serve the residents and team members of Sinceri, while ensuring information/data security.

Kayla Wersal, LVN | Vice President of Programming
Kayla Wersal started in senior living in 1998 as an Executive Director for several multi-community locations.
Kayla’s love for serving seniors started in high school while working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). After graduating nursing school and obtaining her nursing license, Kayla’s commitment to senior care expanded from clinical services into the areas of life enrichment and programming. Over the years, Kayla has developed global programming for seniors affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia; which is now used successfully in over 70 communities in the United States and throughout China. Additionally, Kayla’s global Life Enrichment programming is used in over 100 communities, both nationwide and internationally.
Kayla’s role as Vice President of Programming is to ensure that all residents of Sinceri Senior Living have engaging Life Enrichment activities and Meaningful Moments programming that provides stimulation, positive connections with others, and promotes holistic wellbeing. With a strong background of over 3 decades of healthcare experience ranging from clinical to operations, business development, and life enrichment/programming Kayla brings a fresh perspective and innovative solutions to the Sinceri Leadership Team. As an advocate for seniors and their loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s and related dementia, Kayla serves as a keynote speaker in the fight against Alzheimer’s, both in the U.S. and abroad.

Michelle Shelton, SPHR, SHRM-SCP | Vice President of Human Resources and Employee Relations
Michelle Shelton’s Human Resource experience dates to 1996, when she was working as a Sr. Regional Human Resources Specialist, in Portland, Oregon.
As a strategic, results oriented executive, Michelle is well versed in all aspects of domestic and international human capital management. With her diverse background, she has led human resources functions in manufacturing, professional services and government organizations. With skills in training and change management, Michelle leverages her knowledge of lean management, continuous process improvement, Kaizen, Six Sigma and 5S strategies to develop, implement and drive positive culture change.
As Vice President of Human Resources and Employee Relations, Michelle is responsible for managing all of Sinceri’s human capital strategies, employee policies and procedures, employee engagement programs, ongoing education, and driving strategies for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Missy Day | Vice President of Marketing & Communication
Missy Day started her career in senior living in 1996.
As Sr. Director of Marketing for Emeritus Senior Living and it’s 500+ senior living communities nationwide, Missy managed corporate marketing and interactive functions. Most recently, Missy managed all marketing efforts for a 200+ healthcare clinic network for the nation’s second largest non-profit health system, as well as the Heart & Vascular and Orthopedics service lines for the organization.
As Vice President of Marketing and Communication, Missy’s primary responsibilities with Sinceri include brand management and occupancy growth through strategic initiatives, digital marketing, reputation management, PR initiatives, and community engagement.

Rachel Rudiger | Vice President of Environmental Operations
Rachel Rudiger began her career in senior housing in 2007, focusing on development, design, and construction of new communities.
This focus gradually transitioned to maintaining and remodeling existing communities in 2016; eventually encompassing a wide variety of physical plant and day-to-day environmental operations. With extensive experience in development coordination, land-use approvals, architectural consulting, construction, physical plant, and design consultant management experience, Rachel is an invaluable asset to the Sinceri Senior Living leadership team.
Rachel’s role is to ensure that all Sinceri Senior Living Communities meet the needs and expectations of the many stakeholders that the organization serves, starting with residents, families, team members.
